join the military veterans motorcycle association

• Veterans of any branch of the Armed Forces
• Current military members (Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserve)

Requirements:

• Veterans must provide proof of service (DD214) with an Honorable or General Discharge under Honorable Conditions.
• Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserve members must provide proof of current service (Military ID or supervisor verification).
• Motorcycle ownership required: Active Members must own and operate a motorcycle, provide current registration, proof of insurance, and have a valid driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement.

Typical members include:

• Lifelong riders who can no longer operate a motorcycle due to age, disability, or health
• Veterans with service-connected injuries or disabilities
• Those “between bikes” who plan to acquire one
• Anyone passionate about supporting veterans and military programs

Requirements:

• Veterans must provide proof of service (DD214) with an Honorable or General Discharge under Honorable Conditions

Participation:

• DDMs are encouraged to help plan and run MVMA events, fundraisers, and ride support
• May sponsor family members for Reserve Membership

• Spouses and family members of current Active Members (AM) or Deputy Detachment Members (DDM)
• Immediate family includes: spouse, widow/widower, parent/step-parent, grandparent, sibling, or child/step-child

Requirements:

• Must be sponsored by a current AM or DDM member
• Motorcycle ownership not required, but if you do own one, verification of registration, insurance, and a valid motorcycle license is required

Participation:

• Should have a passion for motorcycling, the U.S. Armed Forces, and veterans
• Encouraged to help further the MVMA’s mission and participate in events

• Children of current MVMA members, ages 10–17
• Must be of good moral character and willing to learn about the Association

Purpose:

• Provides an opportunity to take a more active role than Youth Auxiliary
• Learn how the MVMA functions: meetings, committees, event planning, and organizational operations
• Gain experience shadowing officers and understanding leadership responsibilities

Participation & Limitations:

• May attend meetings, join discussions, serve on committees, and share ideas
• Cannot vote or hold office
• Encouraged to shadow officers and learn about Association operations

Requirements:

• Must be a child of a veteran member or Reserve Member (approval by NBOD in some cases)
• Requires parent or guardian approval
• Annual dues apply
