The Military Veterans Motorcycle Association offers several different memberships. The objective of the MVMA is that ALL Veterans, current Military members, and their family members are included (we know how important family support is, and we know family members want to be involved too, and we LOVE that!!). Although we are primarily comprised of Veterans and current Military, we more than welcome family members! The MVMA does not have any "participation requirements" to be a member, and NO you do not have to own a motorcycle, only Active Members must own and operate a motorcycle. We want you to be as active as your able to be and as much as your life will allow, all we ask is you stay current on your annual dues.

Below you'll find a description of our different membership types. If your a Veteran or current Military you'll be either Active Members or Deputy Detachment Members, and family members who are sponsored by AM's or DDM's will be Reserve Members. You'll also find below the schedule of annual dues showing the cost of each membership.  Once you've decided to join the MVMA family, just simply click the link of the appropriate membership application at the bottom of this page. There's different options for you. If you open the pdf and want to use "fill and sign" to edit, fill it out and email it, make sure you have Adobe Reader or a similar reader to open it to after you download it, that way you can fill it out right on your PC or device and email it to us. If you don't, you can open the pdf and print it off, fill it out, then scan it or take a pic of it email it to us, or mail it to us. Microsoft users can open and edit the word document, fill it out and email it to us. Send your application along with a copy of your DD214 and/or other documents needed, and we'll take it from there....SIMPLE AS THAT! If you know a current MVMA member you can give it to them to send in for you, that member can also get an Officer to verify the necessary documents right away for you. We know what you're thinking, why do we need to verify the documents that we do, and we understand it can seem pretty crazy, but there are reasons why we have to. We do NOT keep the copies of your DD214 or any of the documents you provide to us.

Active Membership (AM) is a primary membership exclusively for veterans of, and those currently serving in, the Armed Forces. Members of all branches of military service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Space Force) are included. To qualify, an applicant must be either a veteran or be current military. AM veteran applicants must provide proof of their DD214 form, must have received an Honorable Discharge from service, or a General Discharge, Under Honorable Conditions. Active Duty/National Guard/Reserve personnel must provide proof of service by either showing proof of a current Military I.D. or by providing a signed form from their unit/squadron supervisor. ACTIVE MEMBERS MUST OWN AND OPERATE A MOTORCYCLE!!! And must provide verification of current registration, proof of insurance, and must have a valid driver's license with motorcycle endorsement. AM’s may sponsor family members for Reserve membership.

Deputy Detachment Membership (DDM) is a primary membership exclusively for veterans and those currently serving who do not currently own a motorcycle, but enjoy motorcycles, being around and involved in motorcycling, and want to make a difference in the veteran and military communities.  Members of all branches of military service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Space Force) are included. Deputy Detachment Members are individuals who may be (but are not limited to); lifelong riders who due to age, disability, or other health issues are no longer able to operate a motorcycle, veterans who suffer from a service connected injury, or disability, and are unable to operate a motorcycle, veterans or current service members who do not currently have the resources to own a motorcycle, are “between bikes” and plan to acquire one, or are individuals who have passion, drive, and desire to help make a difference in veteran and military lives. DDM's are encouraged to assist with the planning and execution of MVMA events and fundraisers, help support ride events, and so on. To qualify an applicant must be either a veteran or be current military. DDM veteran applicants must provide proof of their DD214 form, must have received an Honorable Discharge from service, or a General Discharge, Under Honorable Conditions. Active Duty/National Guard/Reserve personnel must provide proof of service by either showing proof of a current Military I.D. or by providing a signed form from their unit/squadron supervisor. DDM's may sponsor family members for Reserve Membership.
